Can I use the Paymaster on a testnet?

Yes, the Paymaster API works for both Base and Base testnet (Base Sepolia). To get started, enable your paymaster and select the Base Sepolia network from the network selection dropdown.

All transactions are sponsored on Base Sepolia when using Coinbase Smart Wallet.

Are there any contract sponsorships that come out of the box?

You’ll notice some tokens labeled “Free to send”—that means Coinbase Wallet is covering their gas fees. Transactions for USDC, CBBTC, and EURC smart contracts are automatically sponsored when you use Coinbase Smart Wallet.
